David Allred is a musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, sound engineer and teacher originally from Sacramento, California and is currently based in Portland, Oregon at Confident Voice Studio.
He teaches beginning to advance material with guitar, piano, voice, strings, songwriting, etc. While primarily working and touring as a solo act,
David has also worked with a wide range of musicians in numerous studio sessions and live performances internationally.
What age were you when you first started taking music lessons?
I began teaching myself piano as young as I can remember and eventually gravitated to additional musical instruments and over the years.
Tell us about an early music lessons experience that helped shape you as a musician or teacher.
I enjoy learning from teachers and mentors as much as I enjoy teaching myself music.
What are your favorite bands or musicians?
My biggest influences are both my musical and non-musical friends.
Do you have a highlight of your music career so far that you would like to share?
Touring as a solo act and occasionally with a handful of my all-time favorite musicians has been a major highlight in my career.
Why did you want to become a music teacher?
I became a music teacher at Confident Voice Studio to bring my experiences in music back to a full circle as I had a great deal of teachers and mentors that helped shape my career.
