Lindsey Wells is a recent graduate of NYU Steinhardt, where she earned her MM in Vocal Performance (May 2021). Due to COVID, she completed more than half of the degree online and performed a fully virtual recital.
Lindsey is a certified instructor of Blaylock Vocal Method and will be teaches voice lessons and piano lesson online and in person at our SE Portland studio.
She also participated in several online opera role study programs with Vincerò Academy, MIOpera and
Prior to studying at NYU, Lindsey completed an MBA in Marketing from Central Michigan University, which she earned online while gaining performance experience in New York City. Highlights include performing in opera choruses with Amore Opera and Regina Opera (Il trovatore, La bohème, Un ballo in maschera) and singing with Essential Voices USA and The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall.

What age were you when you first started taking music lessons?
I think I started piano when I was 6, then I played guitar for a little when I was 7 and voice when I was 9
Tell us about an early music lessons experience that helped shape you as a musician or teacher.
Growing up, I went to Interlochen Arts Camp every summer, which was where I developed my love for musical theatre
What are your favorite bands or musicians?
I really don’t have one!!! I sing so many different kinds of things. I like anything and everything that I can sing along with.
Do you have a highlight of your music career so far that you would like to share?
Performing my recital in May 2021 🙂
Why did you want to become a music teacher?
Because of my training with Tom Blaylock and wanting to pass it on so that others can benefit from the great teaching I’ve experienced!
